What's at the heart of the church? What should make your heart beat faster? How do I fit within the church? Find out the answers to those questions and so much more by taking the next step of attending Discovery classes. Classes are held throughout the year in a variety of formats, including half-day workshops and classes during Sunday School. Classes include:  Discovery 101 - Discovering My Membership at FCOGThis class offers a basic introduction to the Christian faith as well as the Church of God's unique strategy. Learn about our Vision and Core Values, explore the structure of the church and discover the true meaning of membership. Discovery 201 - Discovering Spiritual Growth This class takes you the next steps in learning more about a life with Christ. Topics covered include studying the Bible, prayer, connecting in small groups, tithing and other basic disciplines of the Christian life. Prerequisite: Class 101. Discovery 301 - Discovering My Fit In The Church Get plugged into discovering your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality and experiences and what they mean to the way you serve. Includes an intro to the complete list of ministry opportunities available at FCOG. Prerequisite: Classes 101 and 201. Discovery 401 - Discovering My Mission This session puts you on the journey of discovering your life mission and offers training and tools you'll need to share your faith in Christ with confidence. Come see how you can become a World Class Christian, impacting your community and the world for Christ. Prerequisite: Classes 101, 201 and 301. |
