Angel Food Ministries Helps Lower Grocery Bills in Tough Economy!
What is Angel Food Ministries?
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve thousands of families every month across 17 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order. How does the program work? Every month the church will have certain days that people can come in and order boxes of food. Each box of food is only $30. Boxes can be paid for by cash, money order, cashier/certified check, debit/credit cards, or food stamps (EBT). On distribution day, the people that ordered food will come up to the church and pick up their boxes of food. There is no limit as to the number of boxes that each person can order. First Church of God of Middle River will not gain or lose money from selling food. We act only as a distribution agency. Who is eligible to participate? Anyone can participate. There are no sign up forms or eligibility requirements. How do I sign up? Every month there will be specific days to place an order. The first day will always be the delivery day for the month before. The additional COMMUNITY order days will be: - Tuesday through Fridays from 9am to 4pm - Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm - Second Saturday of the month from 9am to 1pm Where do I go? Food will be picked up in the Fellowship Hall of the First Church of God of Middle River.? Orders may be placed by entering the front door of the church and proceeding up the stairs to the pastor's office. Questions?
