Our Mission & Vision

The mission of the First Church of God of Middle River is to connect people to God, one another, and to purpose in life.  This specifically means connecting you into a life saving relationship with Jesus Christ, which enjoins you into a relationship with other followers of Christ, and into the specific purpose of loving God and sharing it with others.

Jesus told His followers: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19,20)

Jesus statement gives a specific command to go out and make disciples that obey everything He has commanded.  Because of that command, our vision is to:

Go out beyond the church, into the community, and be the church by making a difference in the lives of others wherever they may be in life by showing the love of God.
