What Should I Expect?

Is there a dress code?

No, there is not a dress code nor an expectation other than to be modest in what you wear.  You will see some people wearing their “Sunday Best” clothing, while others will be in blue jeans and t-shirts.  We want you to feel comfortable when you come to church, so come as you are!  Our emphasis is upon building relationships, not fashion.

What is the worship service like?

The worship service is typically a blend of hymns and choruses lead by a worship leader, praise team, piano, and drums.  At times, we will be lead into singing without instruments.  On special occasions, we may have a guest singer, choir, drama, or video presentation in the service.  During the service, you are encouraged to worship freely by raising your hands, clapping, and praising God as the spirit leads you.  These are all forms of worship that the Bible speaks about and should not be something to hinder you in worship.

Am I expected to put something into the offering plate?

There are no expectations at all, nor will anyone look down on you if you do not put something into the plate as it goes by.  In fact, as a guest, our only thing we would ask that you put into the offering plate is your welcome visitor card.  We don’t want you to feel obligated as you visit the church.  Our church members are responsible to meet the financial needs of the church and do so out of faith and love for Jesus Christ.  We don’t put pressures onto you or anyone to give.  We let God lead people into giving according to His will for them.
